The New House

Now the basement has finally finished being dug, we are making good progress on the new house!

Waiting for approvals for the works, alone took 9 months! The digging went on for longer than expected but now that part is finally complete and we are getting on with all the other stuff!

Originally the layout of the flat was a bit strange. The master bedroom was next to the living room. Our plan was to shuffle things around and have an open plan living room and kitchen. In order to do this, we replaced the master bedroom with the kitchen area. Since I spend most of the time in the kitchen and Francesco, in the living room, it was the most social option to have the two things together. And what used to be the kitchen will now be my studio.

For the whole of February, Francesco's parents were here working on the house and many things have been done but still there is so much more left to do before we can move in.

We we given the keys to the flat 17 months ago so it has been a long wait...

If all goes well, we should be able to move in end of March or the beginning of April.

And then I can finally start setting up the Suki Studio!
